About the Cover

Cover Figure

Cover: Immunohistochemical localization of gelatinase B. Gelatinase B was detected by using monoclonal antigelatinase B antibody and alkaline phosphatase antiphosphatase technique. Upper left and bottom left panels: immunoreactive gelatinase B is mainly observed in alveolar macrophages (AM) of pulmonary tissues from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis patients. Upper right panel: no staining was seen in the same specimen incubated with control antibody IgGlk. Lower right panel: no staining of AM was detected in normal lung, except for a few immunoreactive neutrophils. All sections were counterstained with hematoxylin. (Original magnification: upper panels: ×250, lower panels: ×400.) For further information, see article by Lemjabbar and colleagues 903.
